Accounting & HR
Accounting, contracts, HR and recruiting systems — the back-office records, connected read-only.
This category brings the numbers and paperwork behind the business into the same place as everything else — accounting ledgers, signed contracts and the HR system of record — each read through its own read-only API credential. Nothing here is ever written back: every connector only reads.
Two shapes recur. Xero and QuickBooks Online read an accounting ledger's own object graph — contacts, invoices, payments — and turn each row into a fact the assistant can total and cross-reference. DocuSign, PandaDoc and Dropbox Sign read signing platforms and bring in each agreement as its executed PDF. Personio and BambooHR read an HR system's employee directory as situated records. The credential is either your own app's Client ID, secret and a refresh token (Xero, QuickBooks, DocuSign) or a single API key (PandaDoc, Dropbox Sign, Personio, BambooHR) — see each connector's own setup guide for where its provider hands that out.
Choose by what the reader actually asks about — accounting for “who owes us what”, e-signature for “do we have the signed agreement”, HR for “who runs this team”. All seven deal in sensitive numbers or personal data, so put each behind the access group that should actually see it — finance, legal or HR — rather than leaving it company-wide by default.
