Set up Workable (recruiting)
Connect Workable to make hiring searchable — job ads in full text, and the candidate pipeline with each person's stage, job and headline — so "where is the sales-engineer search" answers from the ATS itself. Read-only.
Before you start
- The credential is an access token, created by an account admin in Workable under Settings → Integrations → Apps → Access token → Generate new token. Grant the read scopes r_jobs and r_candidates only — nothing else is used — and copy it right away; Workable shows it once.
- You also need the Subdomain — the your-company in your-company.workable.com, read straight from the browser's address bar while signed in.
- Only reads are ever issued.
- Workable → Settings → Integrations → Apps → generate an access token with r_jobs and r_candidates.
- Documents → Workable: enter the Subdomain and paste the Access token.
- Choose access groups, Test, then Sync.
What comes in
- Jobs become documents in full text — state, department, location and employment type, plus the whole ad.
- Candidates become situated records: name, job, stage, headline, email, status and the date added.
- A job's salary block, when set, is never read. Only jobs and candidates are read — no interview feedback or notes.
Access
Workable exposes no per-record sharing to mirror, so the access groups chosen on this source decide who can ask, allow-only. Candidate data is personal data — pick access groups accordingly.
Jobs are capped at 500 and candidates at 3,000. Workable's own pagination only walks oldest-first with no way to reverse it, so once an account is over the cap the sweep stalls in that older window rather than reaching the newest candidates — it catches up automatically once the account drops back under the cap, and nothing beyond the cap reads as deleted in the meantime.
